Taxonomy
Crocodilus moreletii barnumbrowni was named by Mook (1959). Its type specimen is AMNH 7471, a maxilla (Left maxilla), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Treasure Island, which is in a Pleistocene terrestrial horizon in Guatemala.
