Pararcestes acutus

Taxonomy
Arcestes acutus was named by von Mojsisovics (1875). Its type specimen is GBA 1875/008/0017, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Röthelstein, lower layer with Arcestes ellipticus, which is in a Julian carbonate limestone/limestone in the Halstatt Formation of Austria.

It was recombined as Pararcestes acutus by von Mojsisovics (1902), Astakhova (1971), Shevyrev (1995).
