Taxonomy
Hamusina triasica was named by Cox (1949). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lake Lulicocha, Cerro de Pasco, which is in a Norian shallow subtidal limestone in Peru.

It was recombined as Hesperocirrus triasicus by Haas (1953).
