Taxonomy
Calliconites milleri was named by Doyle (1994). Its type specimen is NHM C.59584 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sierra del Alamo, Antimonio Formation, Locality 4, which is in a Carnian open shallow subtidal mudstone in the Antimonio Formation of Mexico.
