Taxonomy
Naticopsis gaderana was named by Kittl (1892). Its type specimen is NHMW 1899/V/332 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is St. Cassian (Wiener Hofsmuseums coll), which is in a Julian carbonate limestone in the Cassian Formation of Italy.
