Taxonomy

Isorthis was named by Kozlowski (1929). Its type is Dalmanella (Isorthis) szajnochai.

It was assigned to Isorthidae by Villas and Cocks (1996); to Orthida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Isorthinae by Wright (1964), Bassett and Cocks (1974), Hints (1975), Jin and Chatterton (1997), Williams et al. (2000), Rubel (2011).
