Brasilosuchus mendesi
Taxonomy
Brasilosuchus mendesi was named by Souza Filho and Bocquetin Villanueva (1989). Its type specimen is UFAC 1664, a partial skull (Premaxilla), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Niteroi, which is in a Tortonian fluvial-lacustrine claystone/conglomerate in the Solimões Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Brasilosuchus.
