Caiman brevirostris
Taxonomy
Caiman brevirostris was named by Souza Filho (1987). Its type specimen is UFAC 196, a partial skull (Incomplete rostrum with associated right mandibular ramus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rodovia Transamazonica, which is in a Tortonian fluvial-deltaic horizon in the Solimoes Formation of Brazil.
