Taxonomy
Schizodus globosus was named by Maxwell (1964). Its type specimen is UQ F42887 and is a mold. Its type locality is UQ L2649, Yarrol, which is in a Serpukhovian marine siliciclastic in the Poperima Formation of Australia.
