Taxonomy
Hildaites planiventris was named by Sassaroli and Venturi (2012). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Marconessa quarry section 3, sample 1, which is in a Falciferum carbonate limestone in the Bugarone Formation of Italy.
