Taxonomy
Esericeras loeve was named by Gabilly (1976). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Anse Saint-Nicolas, Jard, float (initially bed 117), which is in a Variabilis carbonate limestone in France.
It was recombined as Osperleioceras (Pseudopolyplectus) loeve by Bécaud (2006).
