Taxonomy
Cardita decussata was named by Munster (1838).

It was recombined as Myophoria decussata by Laube (1865), Bittner (1895), Broili (1904) and Krumbeck (1924); it was recombined as Gruenewaldia decussata by von Wöhrmann (1889) and Jelen (1989).
