Tomistoma coppensi
Taxonomy
Tomistoma coppensi was named by Pickford (1994). Its type specimen is NK 527'88, a partial skull (Nearly complete skull and mandible), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is NK28 - Nkondo or Warwire fm., which is in a Miocene/Pliocene lacustrine claystone in the Nkondo/Warwire Formation of Uganda.
