Taxonomy
Rohillites ambiguus was named by Smyshlyaeva and Zakharov (2013). Its type specimen is DVGI 3/801 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tri Kamnya Cape, Ussuri Bay (coll 801), which is in a Smithian marine sandstone in the Russian Federation.
