Taxonomy
Platypleuroceras valdaniforme was named by Bremer (1965). Its type specimen is Tübingen Ce 1259/72 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bağlum, Ankara, which is in a Pliensbachian marine marl in Türkiye.
