Anteophthalmosuchus esuchae
Taxonomy
Anteophthalmosuchus esuchae was named by Buscalioni et al. (2013). Its type specimen is AR-1/37, a partial skeleton (Skull, teeth, rib, limb bone & 16 dermal plates), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Santa Maria Mine, Ariño (AR-1), which is in an Albian mire/swamp coal/mudstone in the Escucha Formation of Spain.
