Taxonomy
Zygopleura crassa was named by Wanner (1922). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Basleo (Wanner collection), which is in an Artinskian marine horizon in Indonesia.

It was recombined as Stephanozyga crassa by Wagner (2023).
