Synaptichnium motutongense
Taxonomy
Synaptichnium motutongense was named by Ellenberger (1974). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is 76B, a footprint, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Mokkanametsong tracksite (zone B/2), which is in a Hettangian/Sinemurian terrestrial sandstone in the Elliot Formation of Lesotho.
