Taxonomy
Mjoesina was named by Spjeldnaes (1957). Its type is Rafinesquina mjoesensis.

It was assigned to Glyptomeninae by Mitchell (1977), Williams et al. (2000); and to Strophomenida by Sepkoski (2002).
