Apsgnathus triptodon
Taxonomy
Apsgnathus triptodon was named by Nydam et al. (2013). Its type specimen is TMM 43057-264, a mandible (partial left dentary), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Terlingua, which is in a Judithian estuary/bay conglomerate/sandstone in the Aguja Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Apsgnathus.
