Tomiproductus was named by Sarycheva (1963) [Sepkoski's age data: C Tour-u C Vise-l Sepkoski's reference number: 955]. It is not extant. Its type is Productus elegantulus.
It was assigned to Tolmatchoffiini by Williams et al. (2000); and to Strophomenida by Sepkoski (2002).
