Aliconchidium was named by St.-Joseph (1942) [Sepkoski's age data: S Ludl Sepkoski's reference number: 25]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Pentamerida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Conchidiinae by Williams et al. (2002).
