Paralonectes merriami
Taxonomy
Paralonectes merriami was named by Nicholls and Brinkman (1993). Its type specimen is TMP 89.127.1, a partial skeleton (Skull, mandible, scattered vertebrae and ribs, isolated appendicular elements (ischium, propodial)), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wapiti Lake, Locality D, which is in a Smithian marine siltstone/limestone in the Sulphur Mountain Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Paralonectes.
