Thalattosaurus borealis

Taxonomy
Thalattosaurus borealis was named by Nicholls and Brinkman (1993). Its type specimen is TMP 89.126.1, a partial skeleton (Anterior part of skull, from tip of snout to orbital region, preserved in right lateral view. An incomplete mandible, left pterygoid, and isolated ribs and cent), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wapiti Lake, locality T, which is in an Anisian/Ladinian marine shale/marl in the Sulphur Mountain Formation of Canada.
