Agkistrognathus campbelli
Taxonomy
Agkistrognathus campbelli was named by Nicholls and Brinkman (1993). Its type specimen is TMP 89.127.6, a partial skull (Incomplete and disarticulated skull and mandibles. Elements present include premaxilla, maxilla, vomer, both dentaries, angular, splenial(?), and unidentified e), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wapiti Lake, Locality D, which is in a Smithian marine siltstone/limestone in the Sulphur Mountain Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Agkistrognathus.
