Taxonomy
Lamellaerhynchia viae was named by Ager (1964). Its type specimen is USNM 235462 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Arlington Dam/Ft. Worth Area, which is in a Cenomanian carbonate limestone in the Main Street Limestone Formation of Texas.
