Torvoneustes coryphaeus
Taxonomy
Torvoneustes coryphaeus was named by Young et al. (2013). Its type specimen is MJML K1863, a skull (Three-dimensionally preserved skull (lacking most of the rostrum), the posterior half of the left mandibular ramus, and seven isolated teeth found in close asso), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Studley Grange landfill site, which is in a Kimmeridgian open shallow subtidal carbonate in the Kimmeridge Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
