Taxonomy
Globirhynchia was named by Buckman (1917) [Sepkoski's age data: J Toar J Bath-u Sepkoski's reference number: 877,1093]. It is not extant. Its type is Rhynchonella subobsoleta.

It was assigned to Rhynchonellida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Cyclothyridinae by Williams et al. (2002).
