Taxonomy
Holcorhynchia was named by Buckman (1917) [Sepkoski's age data: J Sine J Toar Sepkoski's reference number: 56,538]. Its type is Holcorhynchia standishensis.

It was assigned to Rhynchonellida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Diholkorhynchiinae by Williams et al. (2002).
