Discinisca scutellum
Taxonomy
Discina scutellum was named by Dreger (1889). Its type specimen is NHMW 1861.XXXV.102, a valve (dorsal valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Immendorf sandpit, which is in a MN 5 marine sandstone/siltstone in the Grund Formation of Austria.
It was recombined as Discinisca scutellum by Kroh (2003).
