Taxonomy
Cyclothyris punfieldensis was named by Owen (1988). Its type specimen is BB82245, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Punfield Cove, Dispar Zone, which is in an Albian marine sandstone in the United Kingdom.
