Pararhactorhynchia was named by Shi (1990) [Sepkoski's age data: J Bajo Sepkoski's reference number: 1091]. It is not extant. Its type is Pararhactorhynchia trigona.
It was assigned to Cyclothyridinae by Williams et al. (2002); and to Rhynchonellida by Sepkoski (2002).
