Taxonomy
Monticulifera convexa was named by Zeng et al. (1995). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mulongdong section, Maokou bed 4, Huaying Mountains, which is in a Wordian carbonate limestone in the Maokou Formation of China.
