Claritacarpus smithi

Taxonomy
Claritacarpus smithi was named by Parsley and Sumrall (2007). Its type specimen is CMCP 50660 (dorsal face of the theca, the proximal end of the brachiole, and the proxistele, mesistele, and several elements of the dististele) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Near Clarita, which is in a Lochkovian carbonate wackestone/packstone in the Bois d’Arc Formation of Oklahoma. It is the type species of Claritacarpus.
