Saurichthys (Eosaurichthys) chaoi
Taxonomy
Eosaurichthys chaoi was named by Liu and Wei (1988). Its type specimen is ZJNM CH-44, a set of postcrania, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Meishan quarry, lower Changxing limestone, which is in a Changhsingian offshore ramp lime mudstone in the Changxing Formation of China. It is the type species of Eosaurichthys.
It was recombined as Saurichthys (Eosaurichthys) chaoi by Tintori (2013).
