Saurichthys (Lepidosaurichthys) toxolepis
Taxonomy
Saurichthys toxolepis was named by Mutter et al. (2008). Its type specimen is CMN 12288, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ganoid Ridge at Wapiti Lake (CMN), which is in a Griesbachian/Spathian marine siltstone in the Sulphur Mountain Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Saurichthys (Lepidosaurichthys).
It was recombined as Saurichthys (Lepidosaurichthys) toxolepis by Tintori (2013).
