Paraster armiger

Echinoidea - Spatangoida - Schizasteridae

Taxonomy
Schizaster armiger was named by Clark and Twitchell (1915) [attributed to Clark only]. Its type specimen is USNM 141104, a test, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Melvin, southeast of, which is in a Priabonian marginal marine mixed carbonate-siliciclastic in the Yazoo Formation of Alabama.

It was recombined as Paraster armiger by Cooke (1959).
