Taxonomy
Vercherites undulatus was named by Brayard et al. (2013). Its type specimen is UBGD 275031, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is MIA1, Mineral Mountains, which is in a Smithian marine limestone in the Thaynes Formation of Utah.
