Aplestosuchus sordidus
Taxonomy
Aplestosuchus sordidus was named by Godoy et al. (2014). Its type specimen is LPRP/USP 0229a, a skeleton (Articulated, nearly complete skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Buruti creek area, which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian terrestrial horizon in the Adamantina Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Aplestosuchus.
