Taxonomy
Olcostephanus (Viluceras) duraznoensis was named by Aguirre-Urreta and Rawson (1999). Its type specimen is CPBA 19149, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is El Durazno (loose specimens), which is in a Valanginian marine shale/packstone in the Agrio Formation of Argentina.
