Taxonomy

Pachydesmoceras pachydiscoide was named by Matsumoto (1954).

Synonyms

Pachydiscus rosewoodensis was named by Anderson (1958). Its type specimen is CAS 31102.01, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS loc. 31102, Dry Creek, which is in a Turonian marine siliciclastic in California.

It was synonymized subjectively with Pachydesmoceras pachydiscoide by Matsumoto (1959), Kin and Niedźwiedzki (2012).
