Taxonomy
Mooreoceras regulare was named by Brown et al. (1964). Its type specimen is ANU 14027 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Trevallyn cephalopod locality, which is in a Holkerian/Brigantian marine limestone in the Bingleburra Formation of Australia.
