Taxonomy
Clymenia (Cyrtoclymenia) neapolitana was named by Clarke (1892). Its type specimen is NYSM 3625, a partial shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Acanthoclymenia neapolitana by Hyatt (1900), Korn and Klug (2002), House and Kirchgasser (2008).
