Prochorites alveolatus

Taxonomy
Probeloceras alveolatum was named by Glenister (1958). Its type specimen is CPC 1727, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is BMR K Dup 126, Old Bohemia Homestead, which is in a Frasnian marine horizon in the Gogo Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Prochorites.

It was recombined as Prochorites alveolatus by Korn and Klug (2002), House and Kirchgasser (2008).
