Taxonomy
Manticoceras sororium was named by Clarke (1898). Its type specimen is NYSM 3802, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Carinoceras sororium by Korn and Klug (2002), House and Kirchgasser (2008).
