Amoenophyllites doeringi was named by Klug (2002). Its type specimen is GPIT 1871-4, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 2 km east-northeast of Tazoulait, which is in an Emsian carbonate limestone in Morocco.
