Polaricyclus ballardensis
Taxonomy
Ammonellipsites (Stenocyclus) ballardensis was named by Gordon (1964). Its type specimen is USNM 119479, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 8380, Ballard Shaft, which is in a Chadian carbonate limestone in the Boone Formation of Kansas.
It was recombined as Polaricyclus ballardensis by Work and Mason (2004).
