Taxonomy
Kazakhstania mangeri was named by Work and Mason (2005). Its type specimen is SUI 97546, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Milepost 135 section, near Morehead, which is in an Ivorian offshore mudstone/shale in the Borden Formation of Kentucky.
