Taxonomy
Peripetoceras ozarkense was named by Gordon (1964). Its type specimen is USNM 119704, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 3641A green, south of Morrow, which is in a Brigantian carbonate limestone in the Fayetteville Formation of Arkansas.
