Taxonomy
Goniatites multiliratus was named by Gordon (1962). Its type specimen is USNM 119499, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 6619A, Murray County, which is in a Brigantian marine shale in the Caney Formation of Oklahoma.
